Dr. Mehnert is triple board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has additional subspecialty training in pain management. He specializes in musculoskeletal medicine and non-surgical spine care, treating patients with non-operative orthopedic needs including joint pain, soft tissue injuries and spine disorders. Nerve testing with electromyography and nerve conductions studies (EMG, NCS), fluoroscopically guided lumbar spine injections and occupational medicine evaluations are all part of his practice.
His patient approach includes a focus on listening to his patients and working with them to get to the root of their medical problems and develop personalized plans to improve their level of function with therapy, injections and lifestyle changes.
Dr. Mehnert trained at the prestigious Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in New Jersey and has also completed fellowship training in spinal injection procedures and sports/occupational medicine. His many publications include co-authoring a textbook addressing spine injuries and their interventional management. He was with the Rothman Institute for 17 years at locations in both South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania and served as a Clinical Instructor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College in Philadelphia.
He lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his family. He enjoys outdoor activities, visiting the shore, and catching a solid rock concert when he can.
